Watery Wednesday by The Ocean In East Hawaii.

I went down to see the ocean today, just to contemplate and reflect for short while. The sun was incredibly hot even though there were lots of dark clouds in the sky.

I watched the ebb and flow, the immediate rush and thrusting of waves on impenetrable lava rock.

Then quickly receding back to the open waters…so hypnotic especially under the hot intense sun.

It left me in a very dream like state,  just like the grasses slowly blowing with gentle tradewinds soothing my soul.

Aaaaah, it was worth it to drive out here just to breath and relax.

Pacific coasts are so rugged, unlike our southeastern USA coasts which are mostly sand. Thank you for this visit.

Beautiful and very scenic shots, Noel. How lucky you are to stay in an island surrounded by water, waves and the sea everywhere. I used to watch and admire the beautiful sunsets of Hawaii on TV and how I wish I can visit this place one day. It is like Fantasy Island to me.

Hello Noel,

I feel relaxed just looking at your beautiful photos. It brings back memories of my childhood spent on the California coast.

Dear Noel, First, I must say what a lovely image at the opening of your blog. I assume it is a Datura, although I may, of course, be hopelessly wrong. White for the garden is my absolute favourite colour.

Secondly, I have so enjoyed looking at your coastal pictures - so very different from the shores of Great Britain - and felt that your words expressed your thoughts so well.

Finally, thank you for your comment on my latest posting, to which I have replied, and for becoming a 'Follower'. I shall look forward to my return to Hawaii.

Don't we live on a wonderful planet? Hawaii is truly paradise. I hope the people who live there never take for granted the special place in which they live. Thank you, Noel, for posting these gorgeous photos and your moving commentary to go with them.

I always want to visit Hawaii, then think of the crowded commercial landscape, but then see images and prose like this that makes me even more determined to go someday.
