I'm startled by the familiarity of these scenes. I was expecting there to be nothing in common between these beaches and ours in Dorset - yet your pictures remind me of here after all!
When I got over here with my "sunscreen" I was kinda shocked at the photos - not my typical thoughts on what one of your beaches would be Noel - it reminded me of one of my childhood favourite beaches in NIreland and the journey to the beach would look quite like your photos.
sorry all, these are pictures from a recent trip to california in december when i was visiting friends....it was a sunny day in the mid 70's out by the ocean so you can see there are people actually playing on the water, well kids mostly...i just enjoyed the walk and taking some nice photos of the area for reference and blogging.
What gorgeous scenes, Noel. Some of them look like beaches in Nova Scotia, except that the water here doesn't get all that warm even in summer. You can find me asleep in the sun behind that sand dune, though. Just the place for a nap.
Hi Noel, I'm so behind on my blog reading. Your beach photos are fabulous. It must have been relaxing and invigorating--the perfect way to spend a vacation.
Hi, I met you on Blotanical so I thought I'd visit your blog. I love this series of pictures, it takes me back to the days we lived in San Francisco. We used to come out here all the time, I just love this area of the world. Thanks for sharing such a lovely day.
Hi Noel, thanks for your invite to come for a walk on the beach with you ..it was lovely. But what a surprise! I was expecting 'Hawaii 5-0' type beaches only to find that we were wandering around on the Isle of Wight (off the south coast of England!) I love the photos of the children playing in the water and it was nice to see some colour too - we've still got lots of snow, but it's raining hard so it's slowly melting today and it's a bit grim out there! Thanks for brightening my day!
The California beaches are so beautiful, and you captured them so well. (We don't have cliffs like that in FL.) I love the photos of the children and dogs playing on the beach!
Living in East Hawaii on the Big Island, I am amazed by the multitude of new plant genera that I've started to discover and become addicted to. Come and explore with me in finding new amazing plants, discover the variegated and colorful, rare specimens, developing my garden, garden design, learning about sustainability and just doing the naughty things that a plant fanatic typically won't do in public :)

Hello Noel,
Your beautiful photos brought back many happy memories of the times I spent on the beaches in Northern CA.

The beach scenery is so beautiful, perfect for Wordless Wednesday because I am speechless with awe! The grass makes the scened looks romantic too.
